I am new to Internet Marketing, but I will share what I have discovered so far, and maybe there will be something here that helps you.

1. Pay Per Click Advertising: All the people that I have come across that seem to be having the most success on the net utilize Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising.

Of course, Google seems to be the most effective place for this. However, you really need to know what you are doing. I suggest purchasing an ebook or taking a course. There is one program that teaches Internet Marketing and is also an income opportunity that I highly recommend. It is the EXE Series (http://www.exeseries.com). There are other places where you can learn these technqiues for free, however, I really like the way Scott Reese with EXE Series breaks each lesson down into manageable chunks. It can be quite overwhelming if you try to take it in all at once.

I also suggest you check out this site for other types of PPC advertising: http://www.goclick.com.

2. Traffic Exchanges: Now, these really work, especially if you don\'t have much to spend on advertising. The two most popular seem to be Instant Buzz (http://www.instantbuzz.com) and Traffic Swarm (http://www.trafficswarm.com). If you have a little money, they are both worth upgrading into. The only thing is that you will need to learn how to create headlines and write catchy ads. The headline creator software that Carmen offers will be helpful with that.

Another traffic exchange that is really good and you don\'t need to know how to write ads to get started is Web Biz Insider (http://www.webbizinsider.com

3. Solo Ads: There are quite a few places where you can get some advertising for cheap or even free. Some suggestions are Free Ad Depot (http://www.freeaddepot.com), and Solo-Ads (http://www.solo-ads.com). I hope this was helpful.
